Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo:SHAY born on the 17th of March, 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. The early work of her is described as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4] with influences from electronic, hip-hop, and rock. Many of her lyrics touch to science fiction and feminist themes. She has recorded five albums. Grimes was born in Vancouver but moved to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her music as a solo act in the early 2000s. The albums released were by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. Following her contracting with 4AD the band gained popularity thanks to Visions which is her third studio album. Visions contains the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" as well as being recognized with the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. In the years following, her fourth studio album, Art Angels, was released in the year 2015 and garnered high praise from critics as several publications called it the top album of 2015. Sixteen years later, her fifth album, Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020. Grimes is also a judge for Alter Ego, a music contest. She also was part of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
