Morgan Smith
Morgan has graduated from Columbia College, Columbia University and Columbia University, as well as the Mannes College of Music. In New York City he was selected as the Seattle Opera "young artist" (1999-2000). He began his professional career at Seattle Opera in 2001 in Billy Budd. Smith is a Seattle favourite, has appeared in more than 12 productions which include Don Giovanni in the title part, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo from I Puritani. He also appeared as Peter Niles, in Mourning is Electra. Smith, a frequent performer and a frequent guest on stage, made the Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion. Additionally, he played as the North American premier of Detlef Glanert's orchestral adaption of Brahms' beloved Cycle Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange together with the San Antonio Symphony. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the Requiems composed by Brahms as well as Faure as well as Mozart as well as the masses composed in C Minor as well as G Minor composed by Vaughan Williams, Bach's B Minor Mass and numerous Cantatas and H ndel's Messiah, L'Allegro il Penseroso and il Moderato, the Haydn's The Creation, Lord Nelson Mass and Haydn's The Creation are also included as part of the repertoire for concert performances.
